The National switch stand is designed for service with high speed, heavy main line traffic, as well as yard use (anywhere that a high target is required)  it is ideal for use with spring switches, electric locks and is recommended as the best stand for installation with the National “mechanical switchman” in either standard or reversed position.

Heavier rail sections, longer switch points and heavier accessories add considerably to the load which must be moved by a hand operated  switch stand.  The ingenious yoke and toggle arrangement and long handle positioned at 45° makes the operation easy and puts the leverage into the operator’s hand when needed most.
